Proverbs 21:2-4
New Catholic Bible
2 A man’s ways may seem right to him,
but the Lord weighs the heart.
3 To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.[a]
4 Haughty eyes[b] and a proud heart—
the lamp of the wicked—are nothing but sin.
